Spanish highway operator Abertis Infraestructuras S.A. agreed in mid-May to pay Euro 594 million (US$671 million) for a 54.1% controlling stake in A4 Holding, the holding company that runs two routes in northeast Italy. The two are the A4, a 146-km-long highway linking Brescia-Padova, and the A31, 89 km of toll roads in two stretches that originate in Vicenza, in Venice region.
