Colombia is set for the financial close of the first toll road deal under its US$25-billion Fourth Generation (4G) highway program. The deal, Conexión Pacifico 1, is the single largest investment in the program.
Conexión Pacifico 1 involves 49 km of four-lane highway with 42 bridges and a 3-km-long twin bore tunnel under a 25-year DBFOM deal. It requires US$800 million in investment and US$400 million for O&M of the road and of 30 km of an existing toll road currently operated by Colombia.
