Alberta Cancels P3 School Deal

The Alberta government has cancelled a P3 school procurement because it believed it was cheaper to do it publicly, but when the schools finally get built that may not be the case. Only one bidder stepped up for the 19-school bundle, and after measuring that bid against a public-sector comparator, the province concluded it would save Cdn $14 million by ditching the P3 process.
