Italy: Atlantia Looking Overseas

Italy’s leading toll road and airport holding company Atlantia, S.p.A, is targeting outside investors for cash to acquire international transportation infrastructure assets. With that aim Atlantia intends to set aside for international investors a 30% stake in its wholly owned toll road operator Autostrade per l’Italia (ASPI). Reported acquisition targets are Chilean roads and Brazilian airports, as well as Grupo Bertin’s 95% interest in SPMar, the concessionaire of the southern and eastern stretches of the Mario Covas tollroad beltway around Sâo Paulo. ASPI is Grupo Bertin’s partner in SPMar.
