Bechtel Eyes Brazil HS Rail

U.S.-based Bechtel Corp. is sounding out an alliance with local companies to bid for the second of two 40-year concessions that will finance, build, operate and maintain Brazil’s Reais 35-billion (US$17.8 billion) 511-km, high-speed train line between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The line is known as EF 222.
