Brazil Water Sector Hit Hard

Drought and the Petrobras corruption probe are hitting Brazil’s water sector. As the drought lingers, water taps run dry in Sao Paulo city and the city’s water utility Sabesp grapples with a 46% slump in revenues. According to projections by UBS and Goldman Sachs this will translate to a 19% reduction in earnings from providing potable water to household consumers.
