Brazilian States Bidding Big PPPs

The Brazilian states of Sâo Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro are pursuing public-private partnerships to expand metro systems and improve state highways. With a combined Reais 70 billion (US$35 billion) of initiatives, the three states hope to draw fresh international capital this year and next, and use PPPs for some 90% of their infrastructure projects.
