Brazil has passed new tax incentives that will benefit highways in developing regions and holders of recently granted P3 road concessions such as Odebrecht and Queiroz Galvao. Under federal decree “Regime Espècial de Incentivos para o Desenvolvimento de Infraestrutura” (Reidi) milestone payments and toll revenue on completed sections of the highways will be exempt from federal taxes during the construction period.
