Brazil’s Failing Toll Road Concessions Land In The Federal Lap

Even as the Brazilian economy ramps up, leaving behind the deepest recession on record, a growing number of Brazil’s P3 federal roads are beginning to fail, victim to their overly ambitious concession contracts. As Brazil struggled under eight consecutive quarters of economic contraction, the financial crunch made a shambles of road economics, and has prompted concessionaires to ask the federal government to take back the roads.
