The Canadian government has given businessman Matty Moroun approval to replace his Ambassador Bridge between Detroit, MI and Windsor, ON, raising questions about the future of the Canadian government’s P3 Gordie Howe Bridge.

The Cdn $4-billion Gordie Howe Bridge project, just downstream from the Ambassador, is in procurement. Three proponents were shortlisted in January 2016. An RFP was issued last November. The deadline for responses was recently extended by four months.
