Edmonton LRT To Save Money

The consortium that has just closed the Cdn $1.8-billion (NPV) Valley Line LRT deal with the city of Edmonton, Alberta, is counting on major savings on operations, city documents show. The DBFOM deal with TransED Partners shows service payments on the 30-year operating period of just Cdn $434 million, compared with Cdn $689 million under the public sector model.
