Edmonton LRT VfM Study Hit

A report released in October by University of Manitoba economics professor John Loxley undermines value for money  study done by PricewaterhouseCoopers to justify a P3 procurement for the $1.7-billion Southeast LRT Line in Edmonton, Alberta.

A respected P3 critic, Loxley has the ear of Hon. Glen R. Murray, former mayor of Winnipeg and now federal Minister of Transportation /Ministry of Infrastructure. The Canada P3 fund has pledged $250 million to the project.
