Ferrovial Internacional, a new business unit of Ferrovial Servicios, the city and road services arm of Spain’s Ferrovial Group, was named preferred bidder by Chile for a U.S.$390-million, 710-bed medical center concession in Santiago. Société Generale will be Ferrovial’s financial advisor on the new Dr. Sotero del Rio project. Additionally, moving into a new business area, Ferrovial bought for Euro 21 million (US$29 million) a Chilean mining services firm.
