FHWA Reverses ACS Blacklisting

In a March 28 notice, Federal Highway Administration headquarters announced that ACS Group was no longer excluded from federal contracting.

The decision reverses a March 6 notification placing ACS Group and two affiliates on suspension or debarment due to Davis Bacon wage violations on Virginia 95/495 committed by Midasco, a specialty highway contractor purchased by ACS in 2011. The notice stated that Midasco, together with ACS Group and Imes Inc., paid a $450,000 fine in July 2017.

A notice to this effect was emailed to Public Works Financing on April 2 by John Parkinson, executive director of the Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure.
