Fort Worth Water P3 Not An Option

A task force evaluating RFI-level proposals for private contract operations, enterprise O&M or a concession or sale of Fort Worth’s water system has found no benefit to the city from any of the options. A council decision on whether to proceed with a procurement is set for November 12.

Facing a $50-million budget gap next year, the city’s mayor sought a review of outsourcing options for Fort Worth’s largest asset and employer, with 900 water utility workers.
