More governors than ever are putting transportation infrastructure on their agendas this year. In fact, 26 of 40 “state of the state” speeches delivered in January included sections on transportation. Sue Gander, Director, Environment, Energy & Transportation Division of  NGA’s Center for Best Practices, says getting 26 governors to focus on transportation is “a key, significant accomplishment.”
