Spain: Hochtief Invigorates ACS

Spain’s largest conglomerate by revenues, Euro 34.925 billion (US$39 billion) in 2015, Grupo ACS looks at 2016 as the year it will lock in the benefits of a bold takeover of Germany’s Hochtief AG. With Spain’s construction sector in shambles after the implosion of Spain’s economy some ten years ago, ACS, with only 25% of its business overseas then, looked for salvation in the 25% stake it bought in Hochtief, whose overseas subsidiaries such as Turner in the US and Leighton
