Infrastructure Ontario’s (IO) detailed thinking about a revised value-for-money assessment will become public after a government committee recommended the agency provide data on policies and research it has done.
Ontario’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts held hearings earlier this year and recently published recommendations that IO provide information on topics including its competitive bidding process and the costs of traditionally delivered projects. The hearings followed a report by the provincial auditor general last year that found IO was doing well, but there were shortcomings in its data collection and research.
