Infrastructure Ontario has shortlisted three groups to design, build, finance and maintain the second eastward extension of the 407 Highway. Cintra and SNC-Lavalin, partners in both the wildly successful 407 toll road and the first extension, are on opposing teams for this deal. Cintra owns 43.2% of the original 407 toll road concession, and SNC-Lavalin 16.8%. They are 50:50 partners in the Cdn $1.3-billion phase 1 extension.
