Jefferson Parkway P3 On The Table Again

The Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority is filling out its P3 procurement team for another try at hiring a developer to build and operate a 9.2-mile toll road that was created in 2008 to build as part of the final segment of Denver’s I-470 beltway.

The project’s small size, about $250 million, accelerated schedule, limited public funding, and permitting issues with three federal agencies will not deter potential bidders, Ernst & Young opined in an April “feasibility discussion” of P3 delivery. E&Y predicted “several proposer teams” would compete for a long-term concession.
