Kiewit’s Cash Is King In SH 183 Win

The best-value award of the $850-million SH 183 managed lanes project to Kiewit’s Southgate Mobility Partners on May 29 is a major win for Texas DOT. One of the country’s most innovative transportation agencies, TxDOT found a way to weave together a new gap-financing/DBOM procurement model that satisfied its political overseers and drew three strong contractor bids as well.
