LOC Help For Confederation Bridge (3/14)

Canada’s federal government has put strict requirements on potential bidders for the Cdn $3-billion-plus Champlain bridge project in Montreal, but has boosted Canadian firms’ chances by extending a financial support program launched in the recession.

That program, allowing the federal agency Export Development Canada to issue letters of credit for P3s and other projects, was set to expire in March, but has now been extended indefinitely to support domestic contractors.
