n Gruppo Gavio and Ardían Plan International Joint Venture

Hungry for international growth, Italy’s second largest private highway operator, infrastructure developer Gruppo Gavio, has struck a deal with French investment fund Ardian Infrastructure to fund international ventures by Gavio group operators. According to an MoU, the partnership will focus on assets in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

Gavio develops, owns, and operates infrastructure concessions through two separate firms, ASTM (Autopista Turin Milan) and SIAS (Sociate Iniziative Autostradale Servizi). Of its 3,320 km of toll motorways, 1,460 km are busy toll roads serving northwestern industrial Italy and 1,860 km are in Brazil. Its Brazilian subsidiary is taking on a further 835 km of newly acquired Brazilian assets. Gavio is also a shareholder in Road Link in the UK, managing 84 km of roads. Gavio also runs Italian civil construction contractor, Itinera, SpA.
