New Jersey Passes Flawed P3 Bill

New Jersey Governor and Presidential candidate Chris Christie is expected to sign a long-awaited P3 enabling law for transportation and building projects, which passed both houses on June 29. The bill (SB 2489) was drafted with support from the state’s chapter of the Associated General Contractors and Senate President Stephen Sweeney.

His version was substantially socialized in the final Assembly bill, however. “The Assembly hijacked it,” says a source. Still, he adds:  “It’s worth work-shopping proposals that could change things.”
