PECG’s California Roads Monopoly Could Crack

The time has never been better to promote P3 projects in California, says a veteran of the political battles with the Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG) to allow design-build and P3s there.  The long delays, huge cost overruns and now the cascade of Caltrans design mistakes preventing the opening of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, has highlighted the inability of the state’s unionized engineers to deliver megaprojects.

But it’s not just megaprojects.
