Peru Awards Cuzco Airport

Peru will replace its outgrown Cuzco airport with a 40,000-sq-meter airport, built to international standards and initially costing US$538 million. ProInversión, the Peruvian private investment agency, has granted the Kuntur Wasi consortium a 40-year co-financed DBFOM concession for the new Aeropuerto Internacional Chinchero. Kuntur Wasi is a team of Argentina’s airport operator Corporación América, S.A. (CASA) and Peru’s Andino Investment Holding. The government of Peru will invest 47% of the funds in the project.
