Port Authority’s “Bridgegate” Fallout

The political firestorm over the George Washington “Bridgegate” fiasco has left the already demoralized bureaucrats who run the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in shutdown mode. So says a Port Authority insider who predicts the staff may hide in their silos for months while federal, state and internal investigations into September’s mysterious lane closures on the world’s busiest bridge proceed.
