Slow Start For Canada’s Infrastructure Bank

Canada’s new infrastructure bank could launch one or more projects this year, the government’s mandate letter to the Canada Infrastructure Bank said. In an annex on accountability, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi told bank chair Janice Fukakusa that “descriptions of potential projects where the bank expects to negotiate and potentially execute within the next year should be included as part of the bank’s corporate plan process.” The letter is dated Dec. 20, 2017, but was released in April.
