Italy this month granted 43-year concession rights to a consortium of Spain’s Sacyr and a local builder for a 186-km network of toll roads that serve Rome and the neigh- boring region of Lazio. Autostrade del Lazio, Spa, owned equally by national highway regulator ANAS and the region of Lazio, granted the DBFOM contract to the Sacyr concessionaire, SIS Spa. Sacyr Concesiones owns 49% stake of SIS and and INC, a contractor with a long association with Sacyr Concesiones, owns 51%.
