Spaniards Dominate East-West Link Bidding

With their home market dry of opportunities, Spanish highway developers in pursuit of fresh deals have landed in Australia.  Victoria state shortlisted  three consortia jammed with Spanish developers to build, in two stages, an 18-km-long cross-city highway corridor for Melbourne. The East West Link will cost up to A$17 billion (US$16.3 billion) under a 25-year availability pay concession.
