Tax-Increment Deal For Purdue Univ.

Three teams have been shortlisted to receive a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) on July 31 for a 30-year build-operate-transfer contract to redevelop the city-owned main street through the West Lafayette, Indiana campus of Purdue University using tax-increment financing.

The State Street Redevelopment Project involves turning a former state highway that runs though the middle of the campus into a two-way street with widened sidewalks, bicycle lanes, transit stops, street lighting, landscaping, public spaces and public art.
