In recent years, there has been intense interest in examining the gender and racial diversity among the senior executives in a range of industries, including high tech, engineering, business, academia and the media. High profile firms like Google and Uber have come under intense public criticism for both the lack of diversity in their executive ranks, and a male-dominated culture that permeates the organization.
The PPP industry, by comparison, has not received the same level of external media scrutiny or industry dialogue about diversity as other sectors. Against this backdrop, this research documents the magnitude of the diversity gap amongst senior executives in the PPP industry and discusses the implications.
