The Feds Are Finally Getting P3s Right by Robert W. Poole Jr.

Over the past decade, there has been a great deal of misunderstanding of the benefits of public-private partnership concessions, especially when it comes to comparing such procurements with traditional methods. Several reports from federal agencies contributed to these misunderstandings, including one from DOT’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in 2011 and another from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) in 2012.
