TIGER Grant Program Expands

The USDOT is accepting applications for the 8th round of the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) competitive grant program. $500 million in funding is available in this latest round of the program, which has provided nearly $4.6 billion to 381 projects in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico since 2009. In total, over the first 7 rounds of the program, the USDOT has received more than 6,700 applications requesting more than $134 billion for transportation projects across the country. Applications are due by April 29, 2016, and the formal NOFO is available on the USDOT’s website at the following link: https://www.transportation.gov/tiger/tiger-nofo.
