Toronto LRTs Launched As PPP

Two light-rail transit (LRT) projects in Toronto have been combined into a single P3 procurement to enable bidders to optimize planning and ensure the best allocation of scarce resources, such as skilled trades people. Metrolinx, the provincial transportation authority for southern Ontario, bundled a new line, the Eglinton (Crosstown) LRT, with the Scarborough LRT rebuild and extension in the RFQ issued in January.
