Va.’s Silver Line Metrorail to Clark/Kiewit

Low bidder among five finalists, Clark Construction Group, with j.v. partner Kiewit, was selected on Apr. 25 to finalize details of a design-build contract to construct phase 2 of the Silver Line commuter rail link from Reston, Va., in Fairfax County to Dulles Airport and Loudon County.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) is reviewing the offers and expects to issue a notice to proceed in July on Clark’s $1.178-billion bid for the 11.4-mile airport link, which includes six stations.
