Victoria Sewage P3 Cancelled

Plans for the proposed Cdn $780-million sewage system in Victoria, British Columbia, have been thrown into turmoil after the provincial government refused to compel a municipality to change its zoning and accept a treatment plant. Within hours of the provincial announcement on May 27, the Capital Regional District—the area in which Victoria is the largest community—announced that the McLoughlin Point treatment plant had been cancelled.
