Vinci Bids For Operating Brazil’s Biggest Airport

France’s Vinci Concessions, moving to raise its presence in Brazil, joined an Abu Dhabi sovereign fund to bid on a complex deal to buy out the concession rights to Brazil’s busiest airport, Guarulhos International Airport serving Sâo Paulo. Vinci would take a minority stake in the 51% share of the airport that is privately held, and would become the airport operator. Infraero state airport agency holds the publicly held 49%.
