The city of Winnipeg doubled the gain it made on its 30-year deal under which Veolia will advise the city on its wastewater operations and capital expansions, and share in the gain or pain from joint projects. Winnipeg made Cdn $600,000 in 2013, the second full year of the partnership, compared with Cdn $300,000 in 2012, Moira Geer, Manager of Finance, reported to council.
Veolia earned Cdn $1.1 million – including its share of the operational gain and about Cdn $712,000 for increases in key performance indicators.
